Cyclic homology in non-commutative geometry by Joachim J. R Cuntz( Book )

5 editions published in 2004 in English and German and held by 246 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This volume contains contributions by three authors and treats aspects of non-commutative geometry that are related to cyclic homology. The authors give complete accounts of cyclic theory from different and complementary points of view. These accounts cover in particular many advanced aspects of cyclic theory that have not been treated in book form until now. Cyclic theory is the natural setting for a variety of general index theorems. A survey of such index theorems (including the abstract index theorems of Connes-Moscovici and of Bressler-Nest-Tsygan) is given and the concepts and ideas involved in the proof of these theorems are explained. Moreover connections between topological (bivariant) K-theory and cyclic theory via generalized Chern-characters are discussed in detail. This includes an outline of a framework for bivariant K-theory on a category of locally convex algebras."--BOOK JACKET
Cyclic homology in non-commutative geometry by Joachim J. R Cuntz( )

6 editions published between 2004 and 2011 in English and held by 76 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume contains contributions by three authors and treats aspects of noncommutative geometry that are related to cyclic homology. The authors give rather complete accounts of cyclic theory from different and complementary points of view. The connections between topological (bivariant) K-theory and cyclic theory via generalized Chern-characters are discussed in detail. This includes an outline of a framework for bivariant K-theory on a category of locally convex algebras. On the other hand, cyclic theory is the natural setting for a variety of general index theorems. A survey of such index theorems (including the abstract index theorems of Connes-Moscovici and of Bressler-Nest-Tsygan) is given and the concepts and ideas involved in the proof of these theorems are explained

Théorie de Kasparov équivariante et groupoïdes by Pierre-Yves Le Gall( Book )

1 edition published in 1994 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

LE BUT DE CETTE THESE EST DE PRESENTER UNE THEORIE DE KASPAROV EQUIVARIANTE PAR RAPPORT A L'ACTION DES GROUPOIDES ET D'EN ETABLIR LES PROPRIETES FONCTORIELLES. LA PREMIERE PARTIE, CONSTITUEE DES DEUX PREMIERS CHAPITRES, COMPREND EN PREMIER LIEU UNE PRESENTATION DES GROUPOIDES ET DES MORPHISMES GENERALISES DE GROUPOIDES. CELLE-CI EST SUIVIE D'UNE INTRODUCTION A LA THEORIE DES CHAMPS (NON NECESSAIREMENT CONTINUS) D'ALGEBRES STELLAIRES ET DES CHAMPS DE MODULES HILBERTIENS. LA SECONDE PARTIE, COMPOSEE DU TROISIEME ET DU QUATRIEME CHAPITRE, EST CONSACREE AU DEVELOPPEMENT D'UNE NOTION D'ACTION D'UN GROUPOIDE SUR UN CHAMP D'ALGEBRES STELLAIRES ET SUR UN CHAMP DE MODULES HILBERTIENS. CES NOTIONS PERMETTENT DE DEFINIR LES GROUPES DE KASPAROV EQUIVARIANTS PAR RAPPORT A L'ACTION D'UN GROUPOIDE. DANS LA TROISIEME PARTIE, CINQUIEME ET SIXIEME CHAPITRES, SONT ETABLIES LES PROPRIETES FONCTORIELLES DE LA THEORIE. ON Y TROUVE LA DEMONSTRATION DE L'EXISTENCE, A CE NIVEAU, D'UN PRODUIT DE KASPAROV. IL EST EGALEMENT ETABLI QUE LA THEORIE EST FONCTORIELLE PAR RAPPORT AUX MORPHISMES GENERALISES DE GROUPOIDES. CES PROPRIETES GENERALISENT LA THEORIE DE L'INDUCTION DE KASPAROV. ELLES ONT EGALEMENT L'ISOMORPHISME DE THOM POUR CAS PARTICULIER. LE DERNIER CHAPITRE EST CONSACRE A LA CONSTRUCTION D'UN HOMOMORPHISME DE GROUPES LIANT THEORIE DE KASPAROV EQUIVARIANTE ET THEORIE DE KASPAROV DES PRODUITS CROISES. ON Y TROUVE LE DEVELOPPEMENT D'UNE NOTION DE PRODUIT CROISE D'UNE ALGEBRE PAR UN GROUPOIDE AINSI QU'UNE APPLICATION A LA CONSTRUCTION DES ELEMENTS DE HILSUM ET DE SKANDALIS

SOIT (V,F) UN FEUILLETAGE, OU V EST UNE VARIETE COMPACTE. ON SUPPOSE QUE LE GROUPOIDE D'HOLONOMIE EST SEPARE. SUIVANT LES DEFINITIONS DE G. KASPAROV ET G. SKANDALIS (CF. GROUPES BOLIQUES ET CONJECTURE DE NOVIKOV, CRAS PARIS, T. 319, SERIE I, 815-820, 1994), NOUS DEFINISSONS LA NOTION DE FEUILLETAGE BOLIQUE (QUI EST UNE PROPRIETE METRIQUE PLUS FAIBLE QUE L'HYPERBOLICITE DE GROMOV). POUR DE TELS FEUILLETAGES, NOUS ETABLISSONS, AU MOYEN DE LA CONSTRUCTION DIRAC-DUAL DIRAC, L'INJECTIVITE DE L'APPLICATION DE BAUM-CONNES , OBTENANT AINSI LA VALIDITE DE LA CONJECTURE DE NOVIKOV. PLUS GENERALEMENT, NOUS MONTRONS, AU MOYEN DE LA KK-THEORIE EQUIVARIANTE PAR RAPPORT A UN GROUPOIDE LOCALEMENT COMPACT POSSEDANT UNE MESURE DE HAAR (CF. P. Y. LE GALL, CRAS PARIS, A PARAITRE), QUE LA CONSTRUCTION DIRAC-DUAL DIRAC PEUT SE DEFINIR DE MANIERE PRECISE, ET QU'ELLE ENTRAINE EN TOUTE GENERALITE L'INJECTIVITE DE
