As a result, the need for police cooperation intensifies and more and more police practice is based on scientific knowledge. CEPOL asked a group of experts from six European countries to reflect on these developments. Why do senior police officers need research and science? What kind of scientific knowledge fits their professional framework? How do they make use of it? The report, including expert commentaries, ventures to provide some answers by exploring key questions and aims to open a further discussion about modern day police science and potential paths towards a European approach
