1 edition published in 2009 in English and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"[A] wry look at animal behaviour, capturing dozens of remarkable, startling and funny scenes. Filmed on location in the Namib Desert in southern Africa, it blends documentary footage, tongue-in-cheek but informative narration and classical music. Highlights include daredevil cart-wheeling baboons, the remarkable partnership of the badger and the honey-guide bird, animals intoxicated on fermented fruit, and footage of an ostrich mating dance that is strikingly reminiscent of Fantasia. Adding a human element is the film's account of the astonishingly intricate lengths to which the Kalahari bushmen go to find water"--Container

Lord oom Piet( Visual )

"After the release of the documentary feature Doodkry is min in 1961, a production in which the English speaking South African was handed the blame for all the nation's ills, Jamie Uys made a comedy film that pleaded for unity and reconciliation between the two cultures, after almost alienating his English fan base with Doodkry is min. Using a script by himself and Emil Nofal, Uys stars as Oom Piet Kromhout, a proud Afrikaner who is informed one fine day that he is in fact named Peter Bentwood, a lord of the manor and worse still, Queen Elizabeth 11's cousin. Needless to say, this revelation makes Oom Piet deliriously happy so, after chucking the tweedy, bowler-hatted messenger into his water tank, Oom piet proceeds with urgent damage control, as he is the National Party candidate for the area, all the while proceeding with litigation against his neighbour, Sir David Willoughby for daring to call him an Englishman."--Container
