The death of an old woman leads the police to the drug scene and underworld criminals. Inspector Pfeifer and his colleague Passini investigate the murder case of the old woman. No one seems to have known the dead or be interested in her. Only the fact of being in the spotlight brings the victim's neighbors to speak. Tracks lead into the drug scene and to the addicted nephew of the murdered woman. He has contact with an underworld boss who has always given the police the slip. A second murder makes it clear to the inspectors that the killer must be from that scene
