"Beinahe wäre diese Stimme ungehört geblieben. Ihr Besitzer war nämlich Hornist bei den Hamburger Philharmonikern und fühlte sich im Orchestergraben recht wohl. Zum Glück für die Opernwelt wurde Klaus Florian Vogts Tenor aber bei einer Geburtstagsfeier entdeckt und nach einigem Hin und Her studierte der Holsteiner dann parallel zu seinem Orchesterjob Gesang. Heute ist er der beste jugendliche Heldentenor deutscher Sprache. Keiner singt Wagner - und bei dem landet man als Vertreter dieses Stimmfachs unweigerlich - so absolut mühelos, entspannt, selbstverständlich. Sein Ansatz ist stets lyrisch, hohe Töne bindet er so unauffällig und unangestrengt in die Gesangslinie ein, dass man sie kaum als solche wahrnimmt. Bei Klaus Florian Vogt kann man sich einfach zurücklehnen und eine durch und durch gesunde Stimme genießen, man muss nie Angst haben, auch nicht im 3. Akt einer Wagner-Oper, wo ja bekanntlich die großen Herausforderungen auf die Tenorhelden warten. Nicht nur in Bayreuth hat er damit klargemacht, dass er als Stolzing und Lohengrin ohne Konkurrenz ist. In diesen beiden Partien ist er natürlich auch auf diesem längst überfälligen Recital zu hören. Ergänzt wird das Programm durch Arien von Weber, Lortzing, Flotow und Korngold sowie einen makellos lyrischen Tamino" (Rondo)
