Herman Sachs decorated the Art Deco lobby, with mosaic panels above the entrance and murals by Hugo Ballin. Note the beautiful floors and elaborate doors. When this photograph was taken, the Los Angeles Public Library was housed in the Design Center of Los Angeles, formerly the Title Insurance & Trust Company Building, located at 433 S. Spring Street
