Martín becomes a supporter of Pancho Villa, while Serapio aligns himself with the Federales and entices Teresa to marry him by offering to secure the release of her brother, who has been imprisoned by the Federales. Upon release, her brother warns Marti̇n about the impending marriage and Martín vows to prevent the marriage before leaving on a dangerous mission. Unfortunately, the Federales trap Martín and nearly shoot him, but Pancho Villa saves him and lets him marry Teresa before he leaves
