He and the Secretary would like to send an executive officer to carry out Munroe's instructions to aid in his recovery; however, the Secretary will not press on the matter against Munroe's wishes. They wish to hear from his at his earliest convenience. Two printed copies of General Order No. 17, issued November 7, 1861, at Richmond, Va., pertaining to medical discharges. One has Brig. Gen.
