Ralphie is a 9-year-old who wants only one thing for Christmas - an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model BB rifle with a compass in the stock. Between his parents, his teacher, and even Santa Claus all Ralphie hears is "No, you'll shoot your eye out." By this time, Ralphie has had enough of that. When Scut Farkus, the schoolyard bully and his sidekick Grover Dill start in on Ralphie while he's on his way home from school that day, Ralphie knocks Grover to the ground, beats Scut's face bloody, and then pounds Scut's head on the snow-covered ground several times. Ralphie thinks he'll never get the BB gun for Christmas now. And all of the other kids are going to be getting what they want for Christmas

Can they stay put until daylight against the undead onslaught, or do they flee into the pitch black night? Will anyone survive?"--Container
Deranged( Visual )

5 editions published between 1974 and 2013 in English and held by 77 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Deranged: A man living in rural Wisconsin takes care of his bed-ridden mother, who is very domineering and teaches him that all women are evil. After she dies he misses her, so a year later he digs her up and takes her home. He learns about taxidermy and begins robbing graves to get materials to patch her up, and inevitably begins looking for fresher sources of materials. Based closely on the true story of Ed Gein. Motel Hell: "Meat is meat, and man's gotta eat!" That was always granny's philosophy. And that's the way folks still think over at the Motel Hello where Farmer Vincent mixes up his special blend of smoke meats. Heck, everybody in the county just loves Farmer Vincent's sausages and hams-- there's nothin' quite like 'em. But pray tell, what's that we've heard about strangers just disappearing after passing by Vincent's motel? And what are those odd things planted in Vincent's "secret garden" that he tends to only at night?

A deranged rural farmer becomes a grave robber and murderer after the death of his possessive mother. He keeps her corpse, among others, in his decaying farmhouse
Sins of Rachel( Visual )

1 edition published in 2006 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The People You Are About To Meet May Shock You!" Albert Rose is "an aggressive, athletic, normal American male"--Until he straps on his first brassiere! Blackmailed by kinky dominatrix Dominita, Albert is held at her Florida hideaway and forced to join other gender-benders after he enters "The Transformation Room" and becomes a She-Man named Rose. And, folks, Albert in drag ain't pretty. But, hey, the big lug likes it! He also falls for Dominita's lesbian secretary, who prefers him as a her! The lovebirds eventually lead a she-male mutiny against Dominita by dramatically exposing her shocking non-secret. Hilariously screwy, this "factual exposition" marked the directorial debut of Bob Clark who went on to make Black Christmas and Porky's! Plus: Someone's bashed in the head of faded nightclub singer and "no-good broad" Rachel Waring. As police investigate and the Sins of Rachel are exposed, a whole range of small-town suspects emerge, most notably her sexually-confused son Jimmy. Not only does Jimmy think he's gay, but he grew up sleeping in Rachel's bedroom until the night she groped him which made the kid flip out and run straight into the arms of a sensitive semi-bikeboy. This seedy little bargain-basement obscurity was not only written by its leading lady, but presented in the Motion-Picture Miracle of "TextureTone!"

Wastewater Characterization Survey Peterson, Falcon, and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Bases, Colorado( Book )

2 editions published in 1997 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Personnel from the Water Quality Branch conducted a wastewater characterization survey at Peterson, Falcon and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Bases, Colorado from 16-22 November 1995. Wastewater characterization surveys are periodically required to ensure that wastes and other potentially hazardous contaminants from the base's industrial operations and residences are not being discharged to the municipal (or federal) treatment works or directly into the receiving waters of the state without adequate treatment. Discharge of hazardous pollutants to treatment works could cause an upset in the physical, chemical, or biological treatment processes thus allowing contaminants to be potentially released into the environment. The goals of this wastewater characterization survey were (1) collect wastewater samples from locations around the base which would accurately characterize the base sewage and allow contributing operations to be identified (2) determine the quality of wastewater that is discharged to the responsible treatment works, and (3) characterize the quality of effluent discharged from individual oil water (O/W) separators and other pollution control devices from industrial processess such as silver recovery units at the base photo laboratory, medical and dental x-ray, and non-destructive inspection facilities. Also, problematic contaminants whose source end strength are unknown may be of special concern to the base
Wake Island, United States Territory General Environmental Compliance Assessment and Wastewater Characterization Survey( Book )

2 editions published in 1998 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Wake Island is a territory of the United States and must comply with the U.S. environmental regulations under the direct authority of Region IX of the EPA. Wake Island is a small community water system. Rain water is utilized as the primary potable water source. The wastewater effluent generated is of weak strength. The incinerator on the island is used to destroy light amounts of general food rubbish. The landfill and adjacent burn pit receive small but un-quantified amounts of domestic solid waste. Hazardous waste was actively being managed by the Hickam AFB environmental flight. The results of this wastewater characterization survey should be used to identify to the regulatory agency the significant findings from this survey and the subsequent environmental impact that the mission operations have on the island's ecosystem. Wake Island has never had a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for its waste water effluent at Peacock Point, this data should be reviewed to determine if Wake Island will be required to obtain a NPDES permit. Recommend that a septic system be procured and installed at lift station 9. A septic system would provide sufficient treatment to reduce the Oil & Grease concentrations and the oxygen demand loading on the receiving waters at Peacock Point. Recommend that the medical technicians initiate monitoring for pH, and chlorine residual during their routine bacteriological sampling. Positive bacteria results cannot identify the potential source of the problem without pH and chlorine residual monitoring, it was also identified that the island may experience supply shortfalls with its gaseous chlorine and had been without for extended periods of time. Recommend that civil engineering maintain an adequate supply of either household or swimming pool beach

Wastewater Characterization Survey Atlantic City Air National Guard Base, New Jersey( Book )

2 editions published in 1997 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Armstrong Laboratory Occupational and Environmental Health Directorate (AL/OEBW), Brooks Air Force Base, Texas conducted a wastewater characterization survey at Atlantic City Air National Guard Base (ACANGB) from 7-13 September 1995. The survey was conducted in response to March 1995 request made by the ACANGB Environmental Coordinator, Capt John Elwood. Wastewater from industrial activities conducted at facilities located at ACANGB, including Federal Aviation Administration facilities, is discharged to the Eg Harbor Township Municipal Utilities Authority (EHTMUA) wastewater treatment plant. Wastewater samples from five sites situated within the base containment area were collected and analyzed for various pollutant parameters to determine the source of potential contaminants in the wastewater and to determine the quality of wastewater discharged to the EHTMUA wastewater treatment plant. Based on analytical results of samples collected during this survey, potentially hazardous substances are being discharged to the ACANGB sanitary sewer system by various industrial activities occurring on the base. One possible source of contamination is the oil/water separators. According to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-7041, wastewaters from operations which produce hazardous wastes, such as aircraft maintenance operations, are required to meet pretreatment standards before being discharged to the wastewater treatment plant, or the wastewater should be handled as hazardous waste. Also, AFI 32-7041 indicates oil/water separators must be inspected and maintained regularly to ensure water quality compliance
