The OCLC Research WorldCat Identities project is ending. The work provided valuable insight into how to mine bibliographic data for insight into the People and Organizations that create and serve as subjects library materials. The findings demonstrated the power of data mining over the world’s largest set of bibliographic metadata and highlighted the value of collaborative collective cataloging. The WorldCat Identities data has positively impacted OCLC’s work to build the WorldCat Entities application and the 150 million Person and Work descriptions accessible through it. This work will continue to build our entity ecosystem to support the future knowledge work of librarians.

The WorldCat Identities web application will be retired and shut down in the coming months and the data is no longer being updated. The most recent version of the data is from July of 2022. De manière générale, la préparation d'échantillon peut être décomposée en deux étapes distinctes : extraction et analyse. Alors que l'étape analytique requiert quelques minutes, l'étape d'extraction nécessite plusieurs heures (ou jours). C'est le cas de la méthode de Soxhlet, inventée en 1879 qui est aujourd'hui la procédure de référence pour l'extraction solide-liquide. Depuis la découverte des effets thermiques des micro-ondes par Spencer en 1946, l'impact des micro-ondes sur la matière a été largement caractérisé et validé par la communauté scientifique. Rapidement, les micro-ondes ont été utilisées pour l'extraction dans le but de contrecarrer les limites des techniques d'extraction conventionnelles. Notre travail a consisté en la conception, l'optimisation et la valorisation d'une technique d'extraction destinée au dosage des matières grasses dans les matrices alimentaires solides : le Soxhlet assisté par micro-ondes. Une première partie du document est consacrée à la compréhension des fondements et considérations théoriques de l'énergie micro-ondes. Une seconde partie du manuscrit rappelle les techniques employées pour la conception et valorisation du Soxhlet assisté par micro-ondes. Enfin, la dernière partie du manuscrit traite des résultats obtenus et s'articule selon trois sections distinctes : dans un premier chapitre, la mise au point, l'optimisation et l'application du nouveau dispositif sont décrites. L'appareillage permet des extractions rapides, non destructrices et généralisables à diverses matrices alimentaires discutées dans un second chapitre. L'approche écologique de l'invention, combinée à l'emploi du d-limomène, comme alternative au n-hexane conventionnel, fait l'objet d'un troisième et dernier chapitre

In the framework of the improvement of the reused nuclear fuel manufacturing and the Pu multirecycling, U-Pu coconversion represent a potential alternative to the current mixing process of uranium and plutonium oxide powders. Compared to carbon-based U-Pu coconversion processes, the peroxide process has the advantage of, among others, leading to the absence of residual carbon in oxide powder. However, the current knowledge of plutonium peroxide is incomplete and scattered, hindering the plutonium conversion and U-Pu coconversion technological developments. Thus, the evaluation of the feasibility of this process requires a preliminary strengthening of the knowledge of plutonium peroxide physico-chemical properties. The first part of this work has been dedicated to the characterization of plutonium peroxide soluble complexes and salts. Molar extinction coefficient of soluble complexes have been estimated in order to quantify the plutonium loss in precipitation experiments. The experimental conditions enabling very high yield of precipitation of Pu and an easy-filterable powder have been determined. Moreover, a new database of plutonium peroxide salt properties has been established from the characterizations obtained. In the second part, syntheses carried out with mixed systems such as U-Pu and U-Th have led to obtaining a mix of uranyl peroxide and +IV actinide peroxide salt. The experimental conditions enabling very high yields for uranium and for plutonium and an easy-filterable powder have been determined. Then, thermal treatment of the precipitate has led to obtaining an oxide powder with a good ability to the manufacturing of sintered oxide pellet and which enables to demonstrate the feasibility of U-Pu conversion process at the laboratory scale
