Constructed upon management research that has studied CSR tensions, this thesis shifts away from the usual frames toward a new integrative frame to descriptively explore the integration of CSR at the individual, organizational and institutional levels simultaneously.The content analyses of interviews, historic documents and self-narratives yielded insights which enabled us to build a model describing the necessary conditions for CSR integration to occur. In this way, the structural modalities of the signification, legitimation and domination structures are examined and the dynamics which attend the integration of CSR in the social system are explored in order to reveal the characteristics and mechanisms underlying the interpretative schemes, norms and resources (Giddens, 1984).Consequently, a model of a sustainable paradigm grounded in empirical data is developed and the theoretical implications discussed. This thesis contributes to the CSR literature by challenging the conventional ideas that CSR is inherently difficult in suggesting that the constitutive elements of CSR are not necessarily divergent and difficult to implement simultaneously. In this sense, it empirically demonstrates that congruence between the institutional structure and CSR may occur under certain conditions

In this thesis, we are interested in understanding how social entrepreneurs create value. Our goal is to model the process of value creation that we observed on a short supply chain project through an action research methodology. The sociology of translation and discourse analysis have been used to take into account the complexity of the definition, the perception and the process of sharing the value of a social enterprise project. We want to demonstrate that value creation in social entrepreneurship is an interactive, dynamic and complex translation process. It takes into account a multitude of visions and representations on the satisfaction of the needs of each stakeholder that will affect not only the design and the implementation of economic activity, but also their social and environmental impact. We have observed that social entrepreneurs construct the value of their project by identifying a social need, or by committing themselves to a societal ideal that they will incorporate into their values on a personal scale. This adoption process will determine the intentionality of their entrepreneurial action, the sustainability of which will depend on the support of their network and the overall coherence of the organization itself. We therefore proposed, at the field level, the improvement of a heuristic tool to support value creation and, at the theoretical level, a framework for understanding social entrepreneurship based on the actions of entrepreneurs and the perception of their stakeholders

While mutations accelerate and instability seems to be permanent, entrepreneurship is valued by public and private actors. In France, the auto-entrepreneur, created by Law No. 2008-776 of 4 August 2008, promotes access to entrepreneurship to greater numbers. Since 2009, the auto-entrepreneurs account for more than half of self-employed entrepreneurs. Also, the existence of a specific entrepreneurial approach to business creation projects under this status arises. This research is part of a constructivist approach to explain the phenomenon by identifying the characteristics of auto-entrepreneurs in comparison to other entrepreneurs. It is rooted in the examination of 700 projects evaluated in upstream phase of the creation / buyout in the southern Finistère, from late 2008 to early 2012, almost 1% of the creation / buyout firms on the Brittany area. The support of entrepreneurial paradigms leads to closer generic theoretical standard to findings from the field. A counterfactual approach identifies the characteristics of auto-entrepreneurs in comparison to other entrepreneurs. Thematic qualitative analysis of biographical interviews of auto-entrepreneurs triangulates and confirms the results. The research questions the paradigm of creating / obtaining new or existing value. She questions the Schumpeterian process of creative versus destructive innovation, and its possible mobilization in a reading of the success of the auto-entrepreneur. It offers effectual approach creation depending on the status of auto-entrepreneur. It confirms the role of the accompanying upstream phase of the creation / buyout business

This work is part of the contribution to the early research in management on the performance of the spin-off policy in Tunisia under the model of "3F", and will attempt to update the implications of the spin-off policy forces including the problem of youth employment. To answer the question of research, the author raises the base of understanding of the subject of research from the Tunisian business environment to its scientific protocol that feeds a complex theoretical substrate around the spin / spin-off as support structure is decided politically. To support this thesis, the author shows that surge of Tunisian enterprises has a little overall performance mainly because of the heaviness of its various stages. To set the context of this research, the author pinpoints the major steps that explain the economic and entrepreneurial progress of Tunisia while highlighting the breakpoints. The author has tried, after a qualitative study and a quantitative study, to conceptualize a new model for specific spin process whilst making recommendations to simplify its implemenfation and benefit more from the potential of this business practice in Tunisia

Cette thèse se propose de contribuer à la compréhension de la problématique générale de la performance, ceci par l'exploration du contenu de la vision stratégique appliquée au contexte des propriétaires-dirigeants de PME. Notre thèse émerge ainsi des observations du terrain et de son évolution, notamment les difficultés rencontrées par certaines PME pour survivre et à contrario les facteurs favorisants la réussite et la performance de certaines d'entre elles. Cette recherche s'articule ainsi autour d'un processus continu d'aller-retour entre la littérature et le terrain. Les PME représentent un des terreaux les plus propices à la recherche sur le concept de vision stratégique et sa relation à la performance. La revue de littérature fait en effet apparaitre le propriétaire-dirigeant, qualifié d'entrepreneur, comme un facteur central dans l'explication de la performance de son entreprise. Nous proposons ici une approche cognitive de la performance, approche que nous illustrons au travers des représentations de propriétaires-dirigeants de PME de leur performance. Ainsi, nous nous intéressons aux contenus des représentations véhiculées par les propriétaires-dirigeants de PME, la conception de la performance dans leur vision stratégique. Cette représentation se compose de structures émergentes des concepts reliés entre eux à l'intérieur de ces représentations. En ce sens, nous partons du principe qu'un concept ne prend vraiment sa signification que dans ses relations avec d'autres. La thèse présente son projet en termes de problématique et de méthodologie, au travers d'un processus de collecte de données, par entretiens en profondeur, sur 9 PME performantes primées à plusieurs reprises. A cet effet, nous avons utilisé la méthodologie de la cartographie cognitive qui permet d'analyser la vision stratégique comme un réseau de concepts dans une dynamique des relations les liants. Le traitement et l'analyse des données récoltées nous conduisent à proposer un modèle de lecture cognitive de la performance adapté au contexte des propriétaires-dirigeants de PME. La performance apparait comme un concept multidimensionnel, hiérarchique et dialogique. En effet dans sa PME le propriétaire-dirigeant doit faire des arbitrages entre les différents objectifs et les intérêts multiples des différents acteurs. Enfin, l'étude démontre une importance avérée aux ressources humaines et à l'ancrage territorial de son entreprise

The purpose of this study is to understand how a social entity becomes a stakeholder. The various methods of determining the stakeholders are criticized on their heuristic value. One of these problems is their inability to say "who" is a stakeholder and "who" is not. In other words, the stakeholder theory lacks a criterion of falsifiability. Therefore, understanding the process by which an entity becomes a stakeholder means that this entity is not a priori a stakeholder. Consequently, studying the process by which a group of individuals becomes a stakeholder of a company returns to state a criterion of falsification. This is the general problem of this research.To understand this process, it is said that any group cannot be considered at beginning as a stakeholder but it can become a stakeholder. The empirical phase is based on a multiple- case study. Three companies are studied. The study reveals three main results. First, the firm is seen as a four-relationship node. Second, all parties cannot be consider as stakeholders. Finally, according to the link through which an individual or group of individuals is related to the organization, it assumes a special role. These links are: the partnership relationship, the legal-political relationship, the commercial relationship and the societal relationship. Persons related to the company by a partnership relationship are partners. Individuals related to the company by the commercial relationship are clients. The legal and political relationship puts a person in connection with the company through legal or political institutions. Individuals related to the company by the societal relationship are stakeholders.The process by which a group of individuals can become stakeholders begins with the occurrence of an element in issue (decision, organizational behavior). The process is random, unpredictable, and temporary because any decision of a company do not cause mobilizations

This thesis contributes to the research stream of evaluation and optimization of ergonomics in the design phase of manufacturing systems. Poor physical ergonomics in manufacturing systems results in lower productivity, lower motivation, injuries, and increases costs for companies. The main objective of this work is the proposition of optimization methods for manufacturing systems design, with the joint consideration of ergonomics, productivity, and cost. This work focuses on the preliminary design of assembly lines. The challenge is to provide decision-makers with optimization methods to take ergonomics into account while satisfying all technological and economic constraints. The combinatorial problems considered are the assembly line balancing problem and the selection of equipment. We considered a quantitative model of ergonomics based on fatigue and recovery equations taken from the literature. In addition to the combinatorial nature of problems dealt with, the main scientific challenge stems from the non-linear nature of the ergonomics model. We proposed a linearization allowing defining an integer linear program, we developed optimal and approximate resolution approaches. Besides, we proposed a generalization of the approach, with a multi-objective model optimizing cost and ergonomics. We developed a multi-objective algorithm for its resolution.Based on the proposed models and optimization algorithms, we have defined a methodology for the design of assembly lines with the optimization of ergonomics from the design phase. This methodology has been successfully applied to industrial cases

This research aims to better understand the phenomen of creativity in an entrepreneurial situation. It proposes a new theory to explain the phenomenon of entrepreneurial creativity. Exploratory research has been conducted with entrepreneurial from non-microenterprise SMEs located in metropolitan and overseas France. This work is part of an interpretative approach of the Grounded Theory (Glaser and Strauss, 1967). Based on interviews and non-participant observations, we analyzed entrepreneurial situations faced by SME entrepreneurs. The approach stemming from the Sociology of Translation (Callon and Latour, 1981) allows us to conduct reasoned interpretation of these entrepreneurial situations. The result make possible to identify the constituents of entrepreneurial creativity as a knoledge-building phenomenon distinct from innovation. The objet of which is located in a, more or less open, specific creativity space in which human actors, non-human actors and hybrids are related. Our theory makes it possible to identify the nature and the function of the object of creativity, as well as the modalities which characterize the actors in relations and the creativity space. The level of openness of the latter predetermines the reflection and action of the entrepreneur and this it one of the managerial applications proposed in this research

Management by indicators has become a social trend. There are few research works on the role played by indicators in dysfunctions within the firms. However, according to some sociologists, society would be negatively affected by management practices focused on indicators. We proposed to study pernicious effects of indicators of management control and to look for means to avoid them. From exploratory observations and a review of literature, we have built a typology of pernicious effects and a short list of management principles to reduce them. Next, we have tested our theories in a big firm of the aeronautic sector. Considering the results of the research, we defend that management by indicators can be dangerous for the firm. When an indicator is used by a manager to judge his subordinates, it is likely to cause several pernicious effects which reduce performance instead of increasing it. These pernicious effects can be modelized with a typology. To avoid or to reduce them, managers should apply some management methods. They should also have knowledges on the tasks and the organization on the one hand, and on the process of construction of the indicator on the other hand

In a context in which corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business transfer appear to be two major challenges faced by French SMEs, a particular attention should be given to the CSR practices introduced by the external successor of SMEs. Thus, this article proposes to explore the effects of CSR practices initiated by external successors on their legitimacy among their employees. In the first part, a literature review on the concepts of legitimacy and CSR in the context of small businesses showed a convergence between the managerial implications of CSR and the determinants of legitimacy. The second part is devoted to an empirical analysis of this relationship. The research methodology is based on an exploratory approach, combining a multiple case study (9 cases analyzed, 46 interviews) and a questionnaire survey.Firstly, our results shed light on the means at the disposal of the successor to build his legitimacy among his employees ; then the results show the positive effect of the CSR practices on the three determinants of external successor's legitimacy : a) instrumental, by allowing the external successor to develop his business and satisfy the economic interests of employees ; b) relational, through the positive impact of CSR on the fairness his HR practices ; c) moral, by offering him the opportunity to develop a new project around a set of ethical and moral values appreciated and shared by employees. Finally, this research identifies the different psychological mechanisms by which CSR contributes to the external successor's legitimacy, as well as their influence factors

Team entrepreneurship is a reality for many businesses. Research works aim to study this side of management phenomenon. For this contribution we examine the individual expectation for self-employment and describe the effectiveness of the team, in the sense of satisfaction of the members, as an element for the survival of the business. The farm sector gives the opportunity for our discipline to examine this form of entrepreneurship. Farms succession, the size of the enterprises, justifies the development of multi owner organisations. Behavioural psychology and social psychology, help us to analyse the entrepreneur believes. Entrepreneurial initiative in a team context is widely mentioned by students, in a study based on entrepreneurial intention models. Then we ask farmers about the reality of their situation in regards of initial expectations. We challenge the professional organisations analysis to confirm our research.We offer to have a new approach of team entrepreneurship, helping entrepreneurs and consultants toward durability of the project. This work is part of the search for limits of the scope of economic intelligence. By a theoretical and then practical construction, the author seeks to demonstrate the existence of internal economic intelligence.To construct the defended thesis and the research question, the author uses the method MERISE, based on the system, which allows to model the three levels of the physical, logical, conceptual) and the existing links. On the basis of the facts, it obtains by successive approaches the academic elements (trust, ethics, strategy, economic intelligence, links within the organizations) making it possible to schematize the conceptual and logical levels. After studying these elements, he draws up a new scheme and indicates the thesis defended and the research question.To answer the research question, the author convenes Greene's Laws and seeks to raise these Laws through the signatures of their jobs. This field study is carried out on a sample of convenience of ten people. This research validates the existence of internal economic intelligence. It also reveals the observed economic intelligence situation. Finally, the path taken to realize it also puts forward a reflection on the ethical positioning for economic intelligence

Malgré l'intérêt croissant qu'accorde le Maroc à la RSE et au développement durable depuis une décennie, les recherches portant sur la responsabilité sociale des PME demeurent toujours embryonnaires face à un intérêt croissant de la thématique dans des pays voisins, qu'ils soient africains ou européens. Cet article vise à apporter une contribution en la matière. Il étudie, en mobilisant la notion de vision stratégique, l'intégration stratégique de la RSE dans deux PME marocaines du secteur des services par le modèle des « 3 E » et une approche par le sensemaking. Les premiers résultats montrent que la RSE en PME dépend principalement des valeurs et convictions qui façonnent la vision, et guident les réflexions stratégiques des dirigeants. La RSE apparaît également comme un moyen qui permet aux PME d'acquérir un avantage concurrentiel durable. Les pistes de recherche que suggère notre travail s'orientent vers un approfondissement de nos propositions par une étude multisectorielle et une investigation sur l'influence des variables culturelles du contexte marocain quant au choix d'une stratégie RSE, tout en multipliant les cas des PME responsables
