Interview with Dr. Edward J. Cooksey
In part 1, Dr. Cooksey describes his early years growing up in Houston. He tells of his working as a pharmacist to earn money to attend Texas Dental College. He talks of his remaining to teach at his dental school, which has become a part of the University of Texas System. He describes his role in the establishment of the Doctor's Club, of the Houston Medical Academy of Medicine, and of the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library. In part 2, Dr. Cooksey continues to talk about the Doctor's Club--its planning, rules, and the various individuals who have worked there
