The whited air : Mary Paul in winter
Poems based on a real person, Mary Paul, who worked in the textile mills of Lowell, Massachusetts, during the middle of the 1800's. Material was gleaned from letters Mary wrote to her father, Bela, which are archived in the Vermont Historical Society library. A brief biography of Mary Paul is included. Susie Paul states that she is not related to Mary Paul
