The collection contains correspondence, architectural drawings and specifications, bids, bills, receipts, publications, brochures, minutes, reports, announcements, financial statements, memos, estate papers, military records, legal case records, invitations, photographs, address books, scrapbooks, sketches, and books. Of major interest are the plans of buildings and furniture designed for Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, their friends, and related institutions, such as the Warm Springs Foundation in Meriwether Co., GA. There are drawings of Val-Kill and the Factory Building in New York State. Over 50 letters to Toombs by the Roosevelts have been copied and interfiled in the general correspondence
