Traces the history of Dayton's Historic Oregon District from its beginnings as the city's first platted neighborhood, providing housing for workers on the Miami-Erie canal, through the prosperous 1800s, the 1913 flood, the industrial era, to the eventual blight of the 1950s-60s, finally focusing on the renewal of the neighborhood in the 1970s, when urban pioneers saved one of Dayton's most unique neighborhoods
