This book is a wonderful gem that should grace the shelves of every elementary library. The 44 stories told are favorites and best in their class, as well as ones every child should hear before coming to school. I especially liked the parent note that gave reference to the levels of the books contained within. Red being beginner, blue representing the next step up, with the green level signaling longer stories told with words.
