Bergen-Belsen Tagebuch

A diary written in the "Hungarian camp" of Bergen-Belsen in 1944, by one of ca. 1,300 Hungarian Jews who left Budapest in June 1944 on the Kasztner train. The group was detained in Bergen-Belsen from August-December 1944, and then allowed to leave for Switzerland. The diary describes the journey to Bergen-Belsen, daily life in the camp, and the arrival in Switzerland.
