Memoirs of a Jew whose parents originated from Poland. Graber was born in 1926 in Maidan (now in Ukraine) and grew up in Nyírbátor, Hungary. Pp. 54-88 relate his experiences in the Holocaust. In May 1944 his family was deported to Auschwitz; his mother, three brothers, and a sister were gassed upon arrival. Graber and his father were sent to the Fünfteichen labor camp, a satellite of Gross-Rosen, and then to Görlitz. In May 1945 they were liberated by the Russian army. Graber emigrated to Israel in 1948; in 1998 he emigrated to Switzerland. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
