The letters cite fellow captive Franz Liedig and his work on their behalf. Correspondents include Léon Blum, Xavier, prince de Bourbon-Parma, Franz Halder, Miklós Horthy, Miklós Kállay, Friedrich Leopold, prince of Prussia, Martin Niemöller, Alexandros Papagos, Gabriel Piguet, Petr Frolovich Privalov, Kurt Schuschnigg, Fritz Thyssen, and Alexander Zamoyski.
