Translated mainly by Maeno Ryōtaku, whose name was not printed in the book. Cf. Meijizen Nihon igakushi

The original texts and illustrations were taken from many other western books on anatomy; the original illustration of t.p. of shukan is the frontispiece of A. Vesalii en Valverda Anatomie by Juan Valverde de Amusco published in Amstelredam in 1647
