Memoirs of a Jew born in Paris in 1929, based on notes he made upon his return from the camps. He was deported to Drancy with his parents and older brother Willy in May 1944, and from there to Auschwitz, where his parents were killed upon arrival; his brother died in the autumn of 1944. In January 1945 Cling was deported to Dachau, from there evacuated twice, and finally liberated by American troops in April 1945. After the war he returned to Paris.
