Abstract:

"The year was 1989. Dark Horse Comics had seen great success in publishing the direct sequels to James Cameron's now-classic film Aliens. Building on the success of the Aliens comics, Dark Horse paired the original writer, Mark Verheiden, with painter Den Beauvais for a second series of Aliens, and the new, raw cartooning chops of Sam Kieth for Aliens: Eart War - both stories continuing the adventures of Hicks, Newt, and Ripley. Shortly after the publication of these original series, movie continuity dictated that the characters names be altered, cutting the story's direct ties to the Cameron film. Now, after nearly three decades, Dark Horse has restored these comics to their original, unabridged states. Also included in this collection is an introduction by Mark Verheiden and a pinup gallery of the breathtaking original cover art from both series."--Page 4 of cover.
