Contents: 1. American flag used during the 1925 Central Asiatic Expedition. "Mongolia, 1925, no. 1 car, and Yen Ching Kou, 1925-'26" handwritten in ink on flag hoist (wool, 60 x 90 cm.) --
2-3. AMNH maritime flags: diagonal guidon (i.e. swallow-tail) flag, top triangle blue, bottom triangle red, left triangle white with blue trident; right triangle white (nylon/wool, 46 x 69 cm.) --
4. AMNH flag carried into space by the Space Shuttle Atlantis, Mar. 22-31, 1996 (diagonal flag, top triangle blue, bottom triangle red, left triangle white with letters "AM" and right triangle white with letters "NH" (nylon/wool, 46 x 71 cm.) --
