It explains how people are of 2 minds about addiction and hear competing voices. One voice says "I want to quit drinking", the other, addictive voice, argues for further use. Learning to recognize these voices helps in the process of learning to defeat the desire to drink. This program espouses to be the choice for people who have had difficulty with the 12 step programs of Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, directed toward chemically dependent people who are resistant to the spiritual/religious approach to recovery.
