The collection consists of autograph files maintained by Eppes containing correspondence, memorabilia, photographs, and printed material chiefly by or about people in the fine arts. Some literary and political figures are also included.

In addition the collection contains Eppes' notes on portions of the collection; obituaries and tributes; playbills; programs, including a souvenir program from "Gone with the wind"; announcements; sound recordings; and poster replicas for theaters, chiefly in New York City.
