Abstract:

Sending him a letter from [Dr. John] Moore; reporting that she sent Moore a copy of Burns's Poems because she thinks Burns would benefit from knowing Moore; asking him to tell her if he calls on Dr. Moore or his son, Major John Moore; objecting to his characterization of William Wallace as "unhappy" in one of his poems ["The Cotter's Saturday Night"]; telling him that she will direct future orders of his book to Mr. Creech, his bookseller; acknowledging receipt of the books and letter he sent to her; asking him to address letters to "Mrs. Dunlop of Dunlop, by Stewarton" to expedite their arrival.
