Mentioning that he would prefer to publish Hypatia serially, stating "I should get passing criticisms on the plot, [which] would help me to weave it better & better as I went on." Acknowledging the financial benefit to serial publication as well, noting "that it [would] be better in a pecuniary point of view is self evident."
