See MA 161.5 for Garrick's reply to Foote dated June 2, 1768. Garrick's reply was purchased by Pierpont Morgan in 1909 as part of a collection of 28 letters related to David Garrick. See MA 161 for the collection level record. Garrick replies "Had I Pompey or Cesar, He sh'd be much at Mr. Barrel's Cleopatra's Service, but I have not been master of one for some years. I am sorry that I cannot oblige the young lady with one of my breed."
