Thanking her for her two letters; saying that she is glad "the new Cook begins so well"; discussing a letter she received from the publisher [John] Murray in which he "wants to have the Copyright of MP [Mansfield Park] & SS [Sense and Sensibility]"; commenting on the weather and visitors; describing her brother Henry's illness and its treatment; noting that she wants to return to Chawton as soon as possible and will "send down a parcel by Collier on Saturday."
