Two men in a boat laiden with packages, one rowing, the other standing and using a pole. They head toward Bedford Bridge, seen with two buildings upon it, both demolished 1765. A tree is shown on the bank in the right foreground, vegetation at centre, further trees and low buildings on the left. A view from the same viewpoint was published in volume one of Francis Grose's Antiquities of England and Wales, described as drawn by Grose in 1760.
