Photo album by Charles Carlton "Carl" Collen, cook and deckhand on the mail boat, Yakobi, ca. 1933, when it was chartered for the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey to map and chart areas in the Bering Sea. The Yakobi ran aground at Sand Point but floated off with no damage or injuries. William J. Erskine was a member of the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey on the charter. Collen is the step-grandfather of Betty West Miller --
