Abstract:

Erik Prince, embattled CEO of the security firm Blackwater, has become a familiar face on TV as he answers questions about the company and the alleged involvement of his contractors in the shooting deaths of Iraqi civilians. But is there more to the controversial Blackwater situation than meets the eye? In this program, Bill Moyers interviews award-winning investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill, author of the best-selling exposé Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army, to help separate the spin from the facts. In addition, Moyers questions whether free trade means fair trade as he looks into recent trade deals in Central and South America.
