Abstract:

Many Americans report a tremendous fear of flying. Well, slip on your noise reduction headphones and tune out as best you can-you don't want to know what's going on in this story. In this episode of World's Toughest Fixes, master rigger Sean Riley teams up with an elite crew of aeronautical engineers from Boeing to strip down, fully pluck, and thoroughly gut a really big bird: a damaged 767. This remarkable machine needs a major transplant. This is one operation where the huge team of surgeons needs to be extra careful putting this patient back together again: failure is not an option when thousands of lives are at stake. Will this team repair the plane to a level of safety worthy of its precious human cargo? Tune in to find out if the challenge is met.
