The book is written to seem like a compilation of poems and thoughts of some students in a poetry class that have "Open Mike Fridays." The author has real good insights on the thoughts of teens (in my opinion, anyway), and on how great poetry can be for the expressing of feelings. It was great; I read it all without putting it down (it took me a couple of hours). It's easy reading, but I'm really glad I read gave me that "warm-fuzzy feeling."
