Abstract:

BUGEAUD A SERVI TOUS LES POUVOIRS DE 1804 A 1848, COMMENT EXPLIQUER CETTE ATTITUDE PAR UNE LOGIQUE DE FIDELITE? ENVISAGEE SOUS L'ANGLE DES MULTIPLES COMBINAISONS DE LA FIDELITE ET DE L'HONNEUR, LE RAPPORT DE BUGEAUD AUX DIVERS ASPECTS DE LA NOTION REVELE SANS EQUIVOQUE, L'EXISTENCE D'UNE MOTIVATION SUPERIEURE: L'INTERET DE LA NATION, DEFINIE COMME PERSONNE MORALE, SYNTHESE DES GENERATIONS. BUGEAUD FRAYE AINSI LA VOIE A UNE FIDELITE MODERNE QUE L'OBEISSANCE COMPLETE SANS S'Y SUBSTITUER, NON PLUS EXPRIMEE EN TERME DE RECIPROCITE MAIS GRATUITE, EPUREE, AU SEUL SERVICE DE LA FRANCE.

BUGEAUD SERVED ALL THE REGIMES BETWEEN 1804 AND 1848. A LOGIC OF FIDELITY SHOULD DICTATE THIS ATTITUDE. HOW THIS PARADOXE COULD BE EXPLAINED? CONSIDERED THROUGH THE MULTIPLE COMBINATIONS OF FIDELITY AND HONOUR, BUGEAUD'S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MANIFOLD ASPECTS OF THE NOTION, REVEALS DEFINITELY A HIGHER MOTIVATION: THE INTEREST OF THE NATION TAKEN AS CORPORATE BODY, SYNTHESIS OF GENERATIONS. MARSHAL BUGEAUD OPEN, THUS, A WAY FOR A NEW FIDELITY, COMPLETED BY OBEDIENCE AND NOT REPLACED BY IT, NO MORE EXPRESSED AS COUNTERPART, BUT FREEE, REFIND, ONLY DEDICATED TO FRANCE.
