Abstract:
In June 2005 a multi-disciplinary team began the task of developing an integrated vegetation management strategy to align vegetation management policies, priorities and direction within BLM. The team identified six specific areas needing attention: Align program objectives and priorities, develop a common approach to describing vegetation condition, align land-use planning direction, remove barriers to help integrate a program of work, improve management practices, and align monitoring procedures and direction.
