OU D'ANALYSE RES RESEAUX (COMME DAVIS ET RETIS, ELABORES RESPECTIVEMENT PAR L'INRETS ET LA RATP). LA THEORIE MATHEMATIQUE DES GRAPHES DONNE DES ELEMENTS D'ANALYSE ET D'EVALUATION DES PROPRIETES TOPOLOGIQUES DES RESEAUX, EN PROPOSANT UNE METHODE CONSISTANT A MODELISER CES DERNIERS SOUS FORME DE GRAPHES, SUR LESQUELS DES CALCULS D'INDICES SONT EFFECTUES. INSPIREE DE LA LOGIQUE DU PROGRAMME RETIS, QUI NE S'APPLIQUAIT QU'AUX RESEAUX DE BUS DE LA RATP, LE PRESENT TRAVAIL DECRIT UNE ETUDE THEORIQUE ET OPERATIONNELLE EN VUE DE LA CONCEPTION D'UN OUTIL INFORMATIQUE D'AIDE A LA REPRESENTATION GRAPHIQUE DES RESEAUX (CRAPO) PERMETTANT L'EVALUATION DE LEURS QUALITES CONNECTIVES ET LA MISE EN EVIDENCE DES DEFORMATIONS TERRITORIALES (ASPECT SPATIAL DE LA PLANIFICATION DES TRANSPORTS) INDUITES PAR LA PRESENCE DE RESEAUX VARIES SUR LE TERRITOIRE DESSERVI.

WIDELY DEVELOPED IN THE FIFTIES AND SIXTIES, TOPOLOGICAL CONCEPT FOR TRANSPORTATION NETWORK ANALYSIS STILL CONSTITUTES THE BASIS OF MANY MODELS OR COMPUTER GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION (GIS SYSTEMS, SUCH AS SYSTEME 9 OR ARC INFO) OR NETWORK ANALYSIS (DAVIS AND RETIS, DEVELOPED RESPECTIVELY BY THE INRETS AND THE RATP). BY PROPOSING A METHOD FOR CONSIDERING A TRANSPORT NETWORK AS A GRAPH (COMPOSED OF A SET OF "NODES", WHICH ARE CONNECTED OR NOT CONNECTED OR NOT NOCCECTED TO ONE ANOTHER BY "VERTICES"), MATHEMATICAL GRAPH THEORY PROVIDES ELEMENTS FOR THE ANALYSIS AND MEASUREMENT OF TOPOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF NETWORKS. THE PRESENT WORK DESCRIBES A THEORETICAL AND OPERATIONAL STUDY CONSISTING IN THE DESIGN OF A GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS (CRAPO). THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS STUDY IS DERIVED FROM THE POTENTIAL OF RETIS SOFTWARE, WHICH HAS PREVIOUSLY ONLY BEEN APPLIED TO RATP BUS NETWORKS. THE CRAPO SYSTEM, OUTLINED HERE, MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO EVALUATE THE CONNECTIVE QUALITIES OF VARIOUS NETWORKS AND TO IDENTITY THEIR EFFECTS ON THE TERRITORIAL DEFORMATION (SPATIAL ASPECT OF TRANSPORTATION PLANNING).
