Abstract:

Manuscript volume containing a treatise summarizing contemporary knowledge of and theories concerning electricity, followed by a work describing various cosmological theories and astronomical observations, including those of Ptolemy, Copernicus, Galileo and Brahe.

Dell'elettricita is illustrated with two full-color watercolor and wash illustrations of equipment for creating and storing electricity (probably Leiden jars); Fisica celeste is illustrated with sixteen pen-and-ink drawings of both terracentric and heliocentic versions of the universe. All illustrations follow text.
