Harvey, well known as a critic and scholar of XIXth and XXth Century fiction and poetry, left at his sudden death in Belfast in 1967 a small collection of poems, here published for the first time. The long title-poem of the book was composed a few days before the poet's death. This is the third collection of W.J. Harvey's poems to be published.
