St. Patrick's Cathedral is located on the block bordered by Fifth and Madison Avenues and 50th and 51st Streets.
Leland Cook claims the sculptures "were designed in Holland by Cuypers." However, a comparison of this drawing with photos of the actual pieces seems to indicate that the design was Renwick's.
Renwick's signature, in his own hand, appears at the lower right of Goodhue's drawing.
"Scale 1/2 inch = 1 foot."
