If you are an English speaker learning Arabic, Wehr's dictionary is the only one to get.  Period, end of statement.  There is nothing better in print.  I had 2 of these hardcoverbound, in college, knowing I'd need both.  You have to know the trilateral root- as with k t b, for writing- to look something up.
