Drug smugglers on drug smuggling : lessons from the inside

Publisher: Philadelphia : Temple University Press, 2008.
Edition/Format:   Print book : EnglishView all editions and formats
Summary:
Through their interviews and tracking of the Colombia-U.S. drug trade, the authors find that the organizational nature of international drug smuggling is not hierarchal, but rather organized in series of networks that are often not well connected. The book addresses a key concern about criminals, how they organize themselves to reduce the risks of apprehension while maintaining an effective organizational structure.
