Abstract: An attempt has been made in the present study to analyze and compare by the use of the electrogoniometer and the natograph the contribution of the up phase and the down phase of the dolphin butterfly kick to the propulsion of the swimmer through the water. It is hoped that the findings of the present study will aid coaches, instructors, and swimmers in their efforts to improve swim speed and techniques.
