Diese Aufgabensammlung begleitet das Lehrbuch "Elektrische Maschinen und Antriebe" desselben Autors. Es führt von den Grundlagen bis zu den modernen Motorentechnologien. Jedes Kapitel enthält Anwendungsbeispiele, durchgerechnet mit Fragestellung und Lösungsweg, und ist durch Abbildungen illustriert. In der 2. Auflage wurde der Umfang der durchgerechneten Beispiele um 50 % erweitert, vor allem in den Kapiteln 7, 8 und 11. Neben einigen aktuellen Anwendungen aus der Dynamik (Reluktanzmaschinen und permanentmagneterregte Synchronmaschinen) wurden auch zahlreiche einfachere Beispiele hinzugefügt, die ein rasches Erfassen der grundlegenden Verhältnisse in E-Maschinen erleichtern sollen.
