With current research, science-based skills, and expert advice, discover how to: Develop optimal levels of motivation. Set effective goals to reach your potential. Manage emotional and mental fluctuations to peak under pressure. Strengthen imagery ability to achieve excellence. Maintain a more positive outlook to ward off limiting beliefs, overcome slumps, cope with injuries, and deal with other obstacles that may hinder your success. Each chapter covers the concepts, theories, and research behind each mental skill. The mental skills include: myths of mental training, motivation, goal setting, energy management, peaking under pressure, and imagery.
