Notes: Artists' book consisting of a homage to Laurence Stern's marbed page in volume 3 of his novel 'The life and opinions of Tristram Shandy, gentleman'. The book consists of 170 unbound leaves bearing artwork by artists, writers and composers, a single leaf with information about the Laurence Sterne Trust and a booklet with forward, explanatory text and indexes. The booklet also contains a small sample of marbled paper mounted on the colophon. Booklet is sewn bound with white thread. Issued in blue box. Title label mounted on box spine.
Published in an edition of 225 copies. Library's copy is number 194.
Designed and produced by Colin Sackett; foreword by Patrick Wildgust.
