Telemakos, a 14 year old boy, is being held captive by an enemy ruler. Telemakos, through acts of intelligence and bravery, earns the respect of his captors. The goal of the plot is vague and too convoluted to be a truly excellent book. There were too many turns and twists to keep a good understanding of the plot -- some great ideas for a simpler plot. It received a starred review from Kirkus and it is highly recommended that patron have read Lion Hunter which this is the sequel to so that they have a good understanding of the storyline before reading this novel.
