Summary:
"In Enter Exit Pierre Crocquet has provided a snapshot of the surreal reality of a small community in his native South Africa. In his empathic portraits he has incorporated the biography of each individual with whom he has become familiar over a period of time. Abstract:

"In Enter Exit Pierre Crocquet has provided a snapshot of the surreal reality of a small community in his native South Africa. In his empathic portraits he has incorporated the biography of each individual with whom he has become familiar over a period of time. The images are at times austere but are always tenderly portrayed. The work shocks, engages, and lingers." "South Africa today is a society that has seen dramatic changes in its history, with a particular irony evident in today's post-apartheid society, where division is still evident, but is now set primarily along economic lines. The social and personal consequences of economic polarisation can be transported to any other postmodern society. We become an integral part of the story."--BOOK JACKET.
