Abstract:

Este Mvskoke is a brief history of the Creek people; in The praise of our fathers, how many of the Creek people embraced Christianity and blended it in with their own spiritual beliefs is described; in Folklore of the Muscogee (Creek) people, selected examples of Creek folk tales are related; in Turtle shells, Christine Henneha demonstrates the manufacture of turtle shell leg rattles worn primarily by women in certain Creek ceremonies, e.g. the Green Corn Festival.
