Abstract:
Correspondence from Ferdinand Rugel to John Torrey, dated 1847. "I take the liberty to trouble you Sire-- with this bad writen english letter, in the good hoppe you will excuse me..." Rugel goes on to ask Torrey if he will become a subscriber to Rugel's proposed Western plant collecting expedition.
